TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR EVENTS

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the participation in any event organized, hosted, or facilitated by Crypto Hub Ltd (Company Registration Number: C114774), a registered Maltese company, including but not limited to weekly meetups, workshops, educational sessions, and community gatherings (collectively referred to as "Events").

1.2 By attending, participating in, or otherwise being present at any Crypto Hub Event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not attend the Event.

1.3 Crypto Hub Ltd reserves the right to modify, update, or amend these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective upon posting at the Event or on Crypto Hub Ltd's official communication channels.

1.4 Crypto Hub Ltd is a registered company in Malta and operates in compliance with applicable Maltese and European Union laws, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. NATURE OF EVENTS

2.1 Unless otherwise explicitly specified in advance, all Crypto Hub Events are provided free of charge and are open to the general public. No registration fee, admission charge, or payment is required to attend.

2.2 Crypto Hub Events are community-driven gatherings designed for education, networking, and information sharing within the blockchain and cryptocurrency space.

2.3 Crypto Hub Ltd reserves the right to designate specific Events as private, invite-only, or subject to special conditions. Any such deviation will be clearly communicated prior to the Event.

3. PROHIBITION ON UNAUTHORISED SOLICITATION OF MONEY

3.1 No person, entity, attendee, speaker, sponsor, or third party is authorised to collect money, request payments, sell products or services, or solicit financial contributions at any Crypto Hub Event unless expressly permitted in writing by Crypto Hub Ltd management.

3.2 If any person approaches you at an Event requesting payment or money for any reason, do not proceed with it. Immediately contact one of the following Crypto Hub Ltd representatives before making any payment.

3.3 The individuals listed above are the only persons authorised to verify the legitimacy of any payment request at Crypto Hub Events. Failure to verify may result in financial loss, and Crypto Hub Ltd accepts no responsibility for any such transaction.

3.4 Any suspected fraudulent activity should be reported immediately to Crypto Hub Ltd management.

3.5 Crypto Hub Ltd expressly disclaims any association with unauthorized money solicitation and reserves the right to involve law enforcement authorities if fraudulent activity is suspected.

4. PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOGRAPHY AND DATA PROTECTION

4.1 By attending any Crypto Hub Event, you acknowledge and consent to the following:

(a) Professional photography and videography may be conducted during the Event;

(b) Images, photographs, and video recordings may be captured and used for Crypto Hub Ltd's promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, and any other current or future platforms);

(d) Crypto Hub Ltd may use such media for marketing, educational, and community-building purposes.

4.2 All photographs taken at Crypto Hub Events will be watermarked with the Crypto Hub Logo to indicate ownership and intellectual property rights. The watermark serves as proof that the images are owned by Crypto Hub Ltd.

4.3 Commercial Use Prohibition: Sharing, reproducing, distributing, or using for commercial purposes any photographs, videos, or materials produced by Crypto Hub Ltd at Events is strictly prohibited unless otherwise specified in writing by Crypto Hub Ltd.

4.4 Sponsor and Speaker Rights: Companies sponsoring a Crypto Hub Event or providing speakers at such Events do not have any rights over photographs taken at the Event that do not bear the Crypto Hub Logo watermark. All unwatermarked photographs remain the exclusive property of Crypto Hub Ltd.

4.5 If you do not consent to being photographed or filmed, you must evacuate the premises of the Event prior to or upon arrival. Continuing your presence at the Event constitutes your express consent to the capture and use of your image as described herein.

4.6 Given the public nature of Crypto Hub Events, requests for removal of published photographs may not be executed. By attending a Crypto Hub Event, you acknowledge and accept that privacy cannot be guaranteed in accordance with GDPR rules, as the Event is open to the general public and photography is an integral part of the Event. Once photographs are published on social media or other public platforms, their removal may not be technically or practically feasible.

5. SPEAKER CONTENT AND OPINIONS

5.1 Any speech, presentation, talk, demonstration, or content delivered by any speaker at a Crypto Hub Event is the sole opinion and responsibility of the speaker concerned.

5.2 Such content does not represent, and should not be interpreted as, the opinions, ideas, endorsements, or views of Crypto Hub Ltd or its directors, officers, employees, or agents.

5.3 Crypto Hub Ltd provides a platform for speakers to share information but does not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of any speaker's content.

5.4 Attendees should exercise their own judgment and conduct their own research before acting on any information presented at Crypto Hub Events.

6. NO FINANCIAL ADVICE

6.1 Crypto Hub Ltd does not provide, and shall not be construed as providing, any form of financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

6.2 Any information shared at Crypto Hub Events is for educational and informational purposes only and should not be considered as financial advice.

6.3 Attendees are solely responsible for any financial decisions, investments, or transactions they make based on information obtained at Crypto Hub Events. Crypto Hub Ltd accepts no liability for any losses incurred.

6.4 Nothing in these Terms or at any Crypto Hub Event creates a fiduciary relationship between Crypto Hub Ltd and any attendee.

7. SPEAKER DISCLAIMER

7.1 Speakers at Crypto Hub Events are not providing financial advice by virtue of their participation. Any statements made by speakers regarding cryptocurrencies, blockchain projects, investments, or related topics are the personal opinions of the speakers.

7.2 Crypto Hub Ltd does not vet, verify, or endorse any speaker's claims, statements, or recommendations. Attendees must independently verify any information before making financial decisions.

7.3 Speakers are solely responsible for the content they present and for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

8. CODE OF CONDUCT

8.1 All attendees, members, speakers, sponsors, and participants agree to abide by the Crypto Hub Ltd Code of Conduct at all times during Crypto Hub Events, both in-person and in any online or digital community spaces.

Crypto Hub Ltd strives to create a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment where everyone can learn, grow, and thrive. We want a community that values diversity, respect, knowledge, and collaboration.

Core Values and Guidelines:

No Discrimination: We do not tolerate discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, nationality, technology, or any other arbitrary characteristic.
Respect Boundaries: Be mindful of others' comfort levels and respect their boundaries. If someone brings it to your attention, listen and adjust your behavior accordingly.
Pay It Forward: We all started somewhere. Share your knowledge, expertise, and experience to help others grow and improve. Be a resource for the future.
Treat Others with Respect: Engage in discussions, criticisms, and debates with respect and empathy. Ask yourself: is it true? Is it necessary? Is it constructive?
React with Grace: It's okay to be angry, but avoid abusive language and vindictive actions. Handle conflicts assertively and respectfully, and try to allow the other person to explain themselves.
Opinions Are Valued: Respect others' opinions, even if you disagree. Remember that everyone has a unique perspective and background.
Learn from Mistakes: We all make mistakes. Apologize if you're wrong, and tolerate honest mistakes from others.
No Superiority Complex: Avoid acting superior or arrogant, as it makes others uncomfortable and stifles collaboration.
Inclusivity Matters: Encourage participation, listen actively, and make room for all voices. Avoid interrupting and promote a welcoming environment.

8.2 Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct may result in immediate removal from the Event premises and revocation of future attendance privileges.

8.3 Crypto Hub Ltd reserves the sole discretion to determine whether conduct violates the Code of Conduct.

9. REPORTING INCIDENTS

9.1 If you believe someone is behaving in a way that endangers you or the community, or if you witness a violation of the Code of Conduct, please report it immediately.

9.2 Reports should be made to Crypto Hub Ltd by writing to: bongu@cryptohubmalta.org

9.3 All reports will be treated confidentially and investigated appropriately.

9.4 Retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith is strictly prohibited.

9.5 Crypto Hub Ltd is committed to maintaining a safe environment and will cooperate with relevant authorities if any activity constitutes a criminal offence under Maltese or EU law.

10. MEMBERSHIP AND BENEFITS

10.1 Attendance at Crypto Hub Events does not confer membership status. Membership is a separate, voluntary subscription available to regular attendees who wish to receive benefits, discounts, and special offers from Crypto Hub Ltd sponsors and supporting companies.

10.2 Membership is subject to separate terms and conditions and is independent of Event attendance rights.

10.3 Membership does not confer any authority, voting rights, or management control over Crypto Hub Ltd or its Events.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

11.1 Crypto Hub Ltd, and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with attendance at any Crypto Hub Event, except where such liability cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Maltese or EU law.

11.2 Attendees participate in Events at their own risk. Crypto Hub Ltd shall not be liable for any injury, loss, theft, or damage to property occurring during an Event, except where such liability cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Maltese or EU law.

11.3 Crypto Hub Ltd does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information shared at Events.

11.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Maltese law.

12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

12.1 All content presented at Crypto Hub Events, including presentations, materials, and intellectual property, remains the property of the respective speakers or owners.

12.2 Attendees may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit any such content without express permission from the owner.

12.3 All photographs, videos, and promotional materials produced by Crypto Hub Ltd at Events remain the exclusive intellectual property of Crypto Hub Ltd.

13. HEALTH AND SAFETY

13.1 All attendees are responsible for their own health and safety at Crypto Hub Events.

13.2 Attendees must comply with any health and safety instructions provided by Crypto Hub Ltd or the venue owner.

13.3 In case of emergency, attendees should follow the instructions of Crypto Hub Ltd staff and venue personnel.

14. MINORS

14.1 Unless otherwise specified, Crypto Hub Events are open to attendees of all ages. However, minors (persons under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by a parent or an adult who assumes full responsibility for the minor's conduct and safety.

15. ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING COMPLIANCE

15.1 Crypto Hub Ltd is committed to complying with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-financing of terrorism (CFT) provisions as required by Maltese law and EU regulations.

15.2 Crypto Hub Ltd reserves the right to report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities, including the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (FIAU) of Malta.

15.3 Attendees must not engage in any activity that could be construed as money laundering or terrorist financing at Crypto Hub Events.

16. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

16.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malta.

16.2 Any disputes arising from these Terms or attendance at Crypto Hub Events shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malta.

16.3 Nothing in these Terms shall affect the rights of consumers under Maltese or EU consumer protection laws that cannot be contracted out of.

18. ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By attending a Crypto Hub Event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions, including the Code of Conduct, the photography and media consent provisions, the data protection notice, the photo removal limitations, the financial advice disclaimers, the prohibition on unauthorized money solicitation, and the intellectual property provisions regarding watermarked photographs.
